Purkis stepped into the role of a delegate during a time of impending changes and a sense of disharmony within the workplace. Seeing a vacancy and feeling a strong sense of injustice, Purkis decided to step up and make a difference.

For Purkis, the Enterprise Agreement (EA) is more than just a document. It is a sacred instrument that contains the conditions of employment for all members.
