Sydney Trains and NSW Trains- First Industrial Action Notified

Dear Members,
Last night we notified Sydney Trains and NSW Trains of the first industrial action in this round of bargaining.
The actions notified which will take effect at 0001hrs on 11 September are:
- Wearing union gear to work – indefinitely
- Placing stickers or other union/campaign material on Railway assets (so long as it does not affect safety) – indefinitely
- Speaking to members of the public or the media about campaign or union matters – indefinitely.
- A ban on Train Crew accepting altered working – until 0001 hrs on 25 September.
You may remember from last bargain that we have an obligation to take all types of industrial action in the first 30 days after the ballot or we risk losing them. This first round ticks 2 of the 4 types of action off, with the second two likely to be notified in the coming week or two.

With any industrial action, big or small, we are likely to draw the ire of management, the government, the media, and at times the public. It’s important that we are there for one another and support each other through anything that is thrown at us. United we are stronger.
