Sydney and NSW Trains – bargaining update

Today we kicked off the agreed process of engaging directly with Treasury and the Premier’s Department on the quantum of our pay rise. We also continued bargaining on the remainder of our conditions claims.

The meeting with Treasury was overwhelmingly positive, with the Government showing real and substantive engagement with us on achieving the pay increase we all deserve.

We will be with them every day for the next two weeks in an attempt to land a position on our wage increases. We hope it continues the way it started.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the regular bargaining room. We put the remaining 10 conditions claims to management in an attempt to close them out. Little has changed on their position – although there was some good news for part time CSAs and potentially for our Transport Officer and Signaller members. We’ll find out more on this tomorrow.
