Sydney Trains and NSW Trains EA 2024 Update

Dear Members

On 6 March 2024, your EA delegates met and endorsed our log of claims for this bargaining round. Delegates also received some refresher training on bargaining and a briefing on the new federal IR laws and the impact they may have on our EA.

The next step in the process is to produce a Combined Rail Unions (CRU) log of claims to provide to management. At this stage, it looks like a combined delegates meeting will take place in early April.

Unfortunately despite management making noises that bargaining would start as early as December last year, the NSW Government has yet to authorise Sydney Trains and NSW Trains to commence the negotiations.

However, we have been assured that this will happen imminently and bargaining will commence.

Once the CRU log of claims is endorsed, it will be published for every member have. If you want to discuss the claims in the meantime, please contact your EA delegate or local delegate, or alternatively your organiser who can assist.

As we approach this next bargain, we remain as united as ever with the will to make our jobs and the railway better.
