Bargaining update #8

Today we continued bargaining at Trades Hall. We continued to work through our log of claims, working through specific section 2 (Salaried Division), 3 (Workshops Division), and 4 (Rail Operations and Loco Divisions) claims.

Next meeting we should finalise the log of claims by working through the section 5 claims for our Infrastructure Division members. Once we’ve finished our log, the Rail Entities will provide us with full responses and we’ll know exactly where this bargain is heading.

Our protected action ballot began today with members participating in big numbers already. If you haven’t received the instructions or your ballot from our ballot agent, TrueVote, make sure you check your spam or junk folders on your personal email account. A reminder that we’re in the Fair Work Commission tomorrow for a compulsory conciliation relating to our PABO. We’ll provide you with an update on that once we’re done.

Our campaign t-shirts have also started to arrive from our supplier. They are fully Australian sourced and made. We are selling them for $5 each as we believe it is important that as many members as possible are wearing them when it comes to the protected action phase of our campaign.
