NSW deserves a safe, affordable and accessible public transport system and rail workers deserve fair wages and conditions. But at the moment, the NSW Government is standing in the way of that.
Rail workers at Sydney and NSW Trains have been attempting to negotiate a new enterprise agreement with the NSW Government for many months now.
But rather than sit down and negotiate fairly, the NSW Government and Transport for NSW executives have instead chosen to use taxpayer money to take workers to court and belittle our hard-working Sydney and NSW Trains workers through the media.
Rail workers simply want a fair agreement that helps maintain safety on our rail network while also helping them and their families keep up with the current cost of living.
Despite coming to power on a promise of improving working conditions for essential workers and improving our public transport network, we’re yet to see any real evidence of the NSW Labor Government’s commitment to either of those things, but with your support and pressure we’re hopeful we can change that.
