EA update – Fair Work Commission orders the proposed agreement be put to a vote
Today in the Fair Work Commission we defended the allegation by the ETU that we were not bargaining in good faith. This was comprehensively dismissed by the Commission who found there was no substance to their unfounded allegation.
We were also successful in obtaining an order that the agreement be put to a vote of all members. In doing so, the Commission found that the ETU refusing to allow the agreement to go to a vote was unreasonable.
This means that shortly you will get the draft agreement and a schedule of roadshows to make sure you’re across the details of the proposal before you vote.
The roadshows will begin on 23 June and run until 1 July 2025.
The vote will take place from 2 July until 5 July 2025.
Hopefully by now you’ve heard the details of this proposed agreement from your EA delegates who have been out and about for the last 2 weeks. If you haven’t, make contact with them now. Your EA delegates can be found here.
